Rebekah Miller Shoot

This past weekend I shot with an awesome girl Rebekah Miller. It is alwaysgood to have a fresh face eager to shoot with an open mind. Rebekah and her friend Alex came up to get some new Studio Photosdone with a simple portrait session that turned into something a bit more with results leaning more towards a few editorial shots. I love when things seem to flow and ideas keep coming. Even when you have clients coming to shoot with this type of energy it's hard to stop shooting when your ideas keep going back and forth like an old pong game. Herearea few shots to check out! Lighting Ratio Help

Hey guys! I was working with someone today and they were asking me about light ratios. I admit, I am not the greatest at explaining the technical stuff sometimes unless fully prepared, BUT I found this video from a great teacher and photographer Mark Wallace, on youtube. I thought I would share this here for everyone to check out a really good explanation of light ratios. This is using a basic two light setup, and will give you a great idea at how to start using 1:1, 1:2, 1:4 etc, ratio setups. Using ratios gets more involved, like when adding hair light/kicker lights (which could look something like 8:1:2 and so on)...when more lights are added but I hope this at least helps give you an idea at where to begin. Philadelphia Bound!

Hey guys! My blog has not been getting the attention it needs lately, not that there are many reading this yet anyway. :) There have been a few new images post to my website, hopefully you will take a look. www.SecretPhotoAffair.com I tested my new alien bees beauty dish this past week. The beauty dish is such a great tool. I'm glad I finally decided to buy one. The light and the options you get with it are amazing, especially for location shoots, I absolutely love it. I also purchased a new Creative Light 90cm Octabox and can not wait to start using it. The weekend of April 9th-11th I will be in Philly with my sister, whos work you can see here, http://www.modelmayhem.com/moonslightstudios and her good friend, Stacy, who is an amazing stylist and wardrobe genius, who's site you can see here, http://www.fashionfollower.com/. We are going to be setting up shoots the three days with a few different themes. One theme is a contrasting feel with punkrock/military outfits and makeup. Plans and plans and plans

Hey everyone, well the people that aren't yet following BUT at least stop by and read.
